Our Story
Bowline was officially launched in November 2018—but the story really began with a 9 a.m. phone call. Our President and CEO, Tyler Boyd, needed trucking help for a yard move and was told, “Nope, we’re busy for a couple weeks,” before the dispatcher hung up without even asking his name.
That moment revealed a gap in the market—and an opportunity. By noon that same day, Tyler had bought a trailer, visited a rental yard, and offered his services. The guy asked, “What are you doing right now?” An hour later, Bowline’s inaugural load was en route to Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
What started with one trailer quickly turned into two. Then came more trucks, more drivers, and more demand. Word spread fast—Bowline delivered when others couldn’t. That reliability became our reputation.
Today, Bowline has grown into a cross-border operation serving clients throughout Canada and the U.S. We specialize in moving heavy haul, project freight, open deck, and time-sensitive loads, often where others won’t or can’t. Our team includes experienced drivers, dispatchers, and logistics coordinators who understand the pressure of critical deliveries and thrive in complex routing situations.
From that first load to hundreds of shipments later, Bowline continues to grow by earning trust, solving problems, and building partnerships, not just completing transactions. We’ve scaled, but never lost sight of what got us here: being the trucking company that picks up the phone and gets the job done.
